ME!

Following along with Kelly's Korner today I decided to write about.... ME!

I'm a 25 year old nontraditional art student. I concentrate on glass blowing primarily but work 50 hours a week at my "big girl" job. I live with my boyfriend of 2 years, Justin, and we have a little Papillon named Cody.

I go to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.

I'm about 2 hours from Nashville TN and an hour and a half away from St. Louis, MO. If I'm not working on my art I'm probably baking, shopping, or doing something active. Before living in Carbondale I lived in Upstate SC and Central IL. I'm just a normal 25 year old looking forward to graduation, looking for bigger and better things, learning how to grow up! I'd love to meet ya'll KK has amazing meet ups but you can't look up everyone so I'd love for ya'll to comment so I can check your blog out!

Ah-MAY-zing`

SO I work... a ton. 50+ hours a week plus school and my art. Which means I never have time for me. This week I drank twice... and boy do I feel it. I'll be exhausted for days. Vacations. They never happen. At least they never had. But then again I never got paid vacation when I didn't have a big girl job. So my first week of vacation is going to be May 12-23. Yeah That's Like 11 days. Cray cray huh. There are a few pluses to dealing with college kids, unhealthy food, and guests complaining on a daily basis. So... J and I had decided we would do something low key for our first vacay of the summer... My bestie from college is now living up in Glencoe, IL, a beautiful suburb of Chicago.

Er in her natural element! Phone in hand @ work. (Twigs, a floral shop her and her mother own)

Her family owns a cottage on Lake Michigan in New Buffalo, an adorable little waterfront town. She invited us up to visit, do some shopping, layout, and for J's benefit see a White Sox game.
There's not a much better rivalry than the Cubs/ White Sox.... And I cannot wait to see a game in Wrigley Field! I'm a hardcore Cards fan but I'll take my man's team in a game like this!
Erin and I will obviously be supporting our team in true rivalry fashion :)
I am so excited to see my best friend who i haven't seen in like 6 months and spend a week with her. On the way back we are going to hit up my hometown and visit the fam. Officially less then two weeks til we leave and all that I have to do is finish up some glass work for the end of the semester. SUPER pumped.

Ya'll have an amazing couple days! I have a few adorable posts planned for this week!

One of my fave girls Lindsay got "married" this weekend. I use quotes because they technically got married in October but celebrated with their friends and family this weekend. They did almost everything themselves. It turned out beautiful and quirky just like they wanted. I didn't take many pictures because I am constantly losing phone chargers.....But here's a few.
Lindsay and Tim couldn't be more perfect for one another!

My baby and I

Justin and the groom, Tim.

Judy, a friend of the bride, and I.

Pinwheels!

The weekend was amazing. We had a crazy weekend of cookouts, rehearsal dinners, and Easter of course. Justin and I rarely get to spend as much time together as we would like and this was an amazing break from our schedules. Vacation in a month!
Hope you all had an amazing weekend.

Shoe Crazy for Spring

I used to shop all the time. Then I started working all the time, going to school, and trying to save up for my vacays all the time therefore the past few months I have been trying to not spend.... TRying being the key. Sometimes I just can't help posting when I feel like I got a good deal though. I've needed a new handbag for awhile but it seemed like I was always drawn to Coach and Michael Kors but then couldn't find a specific style I was dying over. I bought this style in a cream and gray mix.
One of my bff's is having a small picnic style wedding this weekend. They already got married in the courthouse and are going to be putting on a fun skit to renew their vows in front of family and friends. It's very casual and I found these babies i thought would go just perfect with the dress I'm wearing :)
And case in the point. The DRESS:
Couldn't possibly get out of the store without buying these flats. Aren't they just ladylike and adorable?
I bought three pairs of Vera Wang flips in various designs. I just couldn't seem to get enough. I already bought all of my casual flips for the year at target... These will be great for anything nicer I need. I bought a pair with flowers in tan and cream, and 2 other bling pairs in grey and black.
All photos and items are from Kohl's! Hope you lovelies are having an amazing time shopping this spring. Wedding season is in full force. Any excuse to buy a few new dresses :)

It's that time of year again. I feel like everything in my life needs to change, start fresh, become new. Luckily this year we just moved. I love the Duplex we are now in. It's all brand new and it's in a lovely neighborhood with lots of lovely neighbors we already know. I'm dying for vacations, the beach, a beach body, a tan, and new adorable summer clothes. Clothing is the only thing i've gotten to so far but with 2 10 day vacays planned and a 4 day to Nashville in June I couldn't be more thrilled. Some thoughts to leave you with.....
I hope you all have an amazing week!
